Amanda Marie
I am an Artist, Practicing Witch, Tattoo Artist, Tarot Reader, Folk Herbal Priestess, Creatrix of Portals and Priestess of the Void. I work across many disciplines including Painting, Drawing, Tattooing, Multimedia Work, Work in Fabric, and Herbal Magick. The act of connecting to spirit and creating is what feeds my soul, and the earth, the elements, and the plant and animal spirits are my muse. My art weaves together deep wisdom and medicine offered from the land, visions and messages given in meditation and practice of mindful presence tending to the patch of earth I am blessed to call home here in Scipio Center New York, and years of healing practice through intuitive art making and designing and practicing ritual to connect deeper to self, to spirit, to others and to the enchantment of the natural world.
I strive to create art that shares vision given by spirit. I think of paintings as portals welcoming the viewer into a moment of intentional pause and ultimately into a moment with their inner voice. These portals present the opportunity to drop into deep listening and witnessing of one’s true self emerging through reflection with nature and plant spirit beings as well as the opportunity to connect with the other energies put into the art and that of the artist. Connection creates Magick; shifts in perspective, healing and transformation. Beauty and Art create pause, bring us into our bodies, awakening our senses and our awareness of connection; of enchantment and of wonder. Beauty and Art are essential to our wellbeing.
